Help End Childhood hunger in America: Share Our Strength

Smart Baby Kid readers are parents, and as parents you may be surprised as I was to learn 1 in 6 American homes with children are food-insecure and at risk of hunger. The Share Our Strength, No Kid Hungry campaign, which coincides with Martin Luther King Day January 19th and a day of community service, is committed to raise funds to help childhood hunger. How can you help?

1.Donate by text: Text "SHARE" to 20222 on your mobile device to donate $5.00.
AT&T will match all text donations up to $100,000. Help them meet this challenge grant!

2.Hold a food drive: Beginning January 19th, a national day of community
service, help feed those in need by holding your own community food drive. Visit Share Our Strength to find a food bank and a list of the most needed nutritious foods.

Smart Tip: For more information about "Operation No Kid Hungry" and how you can help
end childhood hunger, visit Share Our Strength's website. Related Posts Widget for Blogs by LinkWithin

  2. Thanks for your support, Cecelia! It's people like you who really make a difference in the lives of children!

I encourage everyone to make a difference in the life of a child who would otherwise go hungry - just with a text! You can also follow Share Our Strength on Twitter (http://twitter.com/ShareStrength) and on Facebook (http://www.strength.org/fb/shareourstrength).

Thanks again to Cecelia and to everyone who is spreading the word!

    Best,
